Local planning controls will often require a permit from local council to conduct works near significant trees, prune or remove a significant tree. In addition, further controls may apply to particular trees and specific zones within municipalities. 

We provide arboricultural assessments to assist developers to comply the permit obligations of the site they are seeking to develop, in so far as they relate to trees. All our reports meet local council requirements for arboricultural reports to be submitted as part of a planning application.

We provide advice on tree protection zones for development sites in accordance with  Australian Standard AS4970-2009 Protection of trees on development sites. 

 We provide expert arboricultural evidence in planning disputes involving trees before VCAT and in compliance hearings in the Magistrates Court.
