Urban Planning

Tree Dimensions assists municipalities to improve urban forests by developing tree management policies, providing street tree selection guidelines, and developing tree master plans.

Planning departments of local governments contract Tree Dimensions to review applications for tree pruning and tree removal, and to evaluate above- and below-ground impacts to trees as consequences of site development.

Tree Dimensions applies Australian standards relevant to trees (AS4373–2007, AS4970–2009 and AS2303–2015) and is well versed in municipal planning schemes and by-laws.

Other services supplied to local governments:

  • utility requests
  • roadside tree assessments
  • local law planning application assessments
  • significant tree assessments
  • tree valuation, e.g. using i-Tree
  • policy writing.
